This is my laptop. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is not however the environment in which my application will run once it is deployed in production.
We will look at how Ansible can be used to consistently build an environment that is ready to receive a web application, whether it is running on a local Vagrant box, an EC2 instance or a Digital Ocean droplet.
About Frederic Jean
With 18 years of IT experience, Fred’s held positions at IBM, Sun, and Time Warner Cable. He landed in Colorado in April of 1998 (in the midst of a spring snowstorm), trading in his view of the St. Lawrence River for one of Boulder’s Flatirons. He’s been here ever since.
Last year Fred was faced with a challenge: a highly manual deployment process. He gave Ansilble a try and found it to be an amazing tool fit for the job at hand.
